Dana Buck, bass player with The Sensations began his musical career in 1964 with the band The Esquires. The Esquires began as a Beatles and English invasion cover band and would grow into a mix of an original and cover band. The Esquires performed in a seven state area of the Midwest headlining many gigs and openingon tourfor The Kingsmen, Vanilla Fudge, Tommy James and the Shondelles, Tommy Roe and the Roemans, The Buckinghams, BB King, Idles of March, The Flock, Canned Heat, Cryin' Shames, The Turtles, Country Joe and the Fish to name a few. The Esquires moved from the Midwest to Las Vegas in 1973 where they were managed by Jimmy The Greek Snyder andperformed at the famous Flamingo, Tropicana and the Grand Hotels opening for Kenny Rogers and the First Edition Paul Revere and the Raiders. While in Las Vegas The Esquires met MohamadAliand were the studio band for Ali's only music LP The Greatest recently featured on the Howard Stern Show some 35 years after it was recorded. Dana remembers Ali as a great presencewith a wonderousspirit.The Esquires left Las Vegas in 1974 and pushed on to California where they played the bar scene in the San Francisco area before moving on to L.A. in 77.

Dana left The Esquires 1n 1978 and along with his brother David, David Carron and John Wieder (the song writer and guitarist from Eric Burton and the Animals) formed Gulliver based in Los Angeles. Gulliver signed with Columbia Records in 1978 and released their debut album Ridin' the Wind.Gulliver was managed by Elliott Roberts andJohn Baruck. Elliott a founder of Asylum Records andmanager ofNeil Young signed Gulliver after a sound stageaudition in Hollywood.The record charted in St. Louis, Dallas and Houston where the band enjoyed enthusiastic crowds. Gulliver released only one record before being released by Columbia. They were in the middle of recording their follow up album We're All Clones when they were released. Alice Cooper cover the title track and charted with the Gulliver song Clones, We're all and Crosby, Stills and Nash recorded Southern Cross another song recorded but never released off the We're All Clones album. A major highlight for Gulliver was opening for REO Speedwagon on REO's opening night of their Hi-Infidelity tour, the biggest ticket selling tour of 1981. Gulliver later disbanded in 1981.

Dana was out of bands until 1992 when he joined Bare Bones a classic rock cover band in Rockford, IL. Members of Bare bones are working with Dana today in the Sensations, Rick Pemberton on guitar and Kurt Weisend on drums.
Bare Bones won several best of Rockford awards and several Ramis. Dana joined Robin Banks in 2002. Robin Banks was a powerpop/retro band that won five consecutive Rami awards and was also inducted into the Rami Hall of Fame.Both Robin Banks and Bare Bones performed at the many area festivals and both were featured on the Oasis stage at On The Waterfront.
The best has been saved for now, The Sensations. The Sensations are made up of the best of Rockford, Holland Zander, Rick Pemberton, Kurt Weisend John Brandon. Dana is honored to be working with them. It is so much fun and it feels like family. The Sensations keep it fresh by rehearsing weekly and regularly adding new tunes. Our fans appreciate us keeping it fresh and we really appreciate our fans.
